had a thought , get a live trap , catch the coon , then get a friend go to a safe place , load up with full house loads , yell pull at which time the friend opens the trap and you blast away !
they should come up with a shooting sport like that ! maybe use birds or something !
If ya can see it ya can hit it !

sounds just like water rats. we get a 5gallon bucket and trap as may rats as we can. Fill buckets with say rats, get a water hose and turn it on and let the water slow full up the bucket. as the water gets higher some start to climb out and you start shooting.

Aren't the velocitors now called the stingers? That is what i normally use when hunting and they work great i just thought that they would over penetrate. I will have to try filing the tips off that sounds like a good idea. Thanks

Evan

No.  The Velocitor and stinger are two totally different rounds.  The stinger has a casing that is 1/10 of an inch longer than that of the standard LR casing.
