Puma came home with me
« on: January 06, 2008, 03:24:11 PM »
Went to the gun show today and traded my 10ga off for a Ruger single six 22 that one was for my dad, because I sold his years ago when I was a dumb teenager, so I figured I owed him one. Any ways while I was looking it over, the guy said he would give me a deal. The Ruger he had marked for $235 and a new Puma 45colt black/brass 24" oct. barrel he had marked for $450 for my Browning 10ga and $50 I figuerd what the hell most guys at the show only wanted to give me $400-$450 for my 10ga. Well I got home checked out the puma and then had to go out and shoot a few Black Hills cowboy loads I picked up. I'm in love with this gun. now I have 2 lever guns the puma and a Win. pre64 94 30-30. I'm allready looking for a Puma in 38/357 in the same color and barrel, and I see more lever guns in the future. I'll post up range report tomorrow with the Black Hills loads, Have to order some brass and dies before I can start rolling my owen.

[most guys at the show only wanted to give me $400-$450 for my 10ga.]

Gun show dealers are businessmen, not gun lovers per se.  They will not pay more than 50% of what they think they think they can sell a gun for - not necessarily what it's worth.

That said, I'm glad you're happy with the result(s).
