Will this pre-fit pad work on the handirifle, or is there a better fit with the wood stock? Thanks for any information.

It may or may not fit close, the 10601 is another that may work, H&R stocks aren't all identical, so print the Limbsaver templetes to scale and compare them to your stock. This info is in the FAQs, btw.

This was printed to scale, and I have traced a few of my other stocks. The scale is not close by my measurements. The best thing to do is go into a shop that sells Limbsaver pads and ask to use there book, or take your stock and compare different ones. Some might just need a little touching up around the plastic spacer.

That's great if you have a shop that has those pads and will let you check em, but I just printed all their new templates a couple weeks ago when posting on the 10011 and the new 10018 prefit for the synthetic stock, they'll print to scale just fine if you follow their instructions and don't have preset defaults in your printer setup, they print perfect on both of our printers, an HP5550 and a Canon S530D. Once you have printed an individual template to scale so the measurements match and have the printer setup properly, try some of the others, the 10102 is another that is  a very close fit to some laminated stocks.

I just printed up a couple templates and am happy to report that the new ones printed out to scale. The last time I tried was a year or two ago, and honestly could not get them to print out actual size. I did get a new computer and printer at Christmas timeThat will save me some legwork next time I need a pre-fit.

I have a 10002 pad that is the exact same length as a 10003, but is just a little bit wider and more rounded on the sides that would fit better on more of my stocks. Some only need a little touch up around the plastic spacer, just be careful not to hit the rubber pad.

Limbsaver must have received a lot of complaints about their templates not printing to scale because I used to have to fiddle with settings to get them to print correctly, this last time they printed right the first time!!

I forgot to mention that the holes will not line up for the majority of stocks either, so most screw holes will have to filled and re-drilled. That is just the nature of the beast when dealing with wood stocks, you never know what you are going to get. I just try to find a size that fits real close to the perimeter and not worry about the screw placement, those can be moved if need be.
