The History Channel stinks now! What happened to all the good gun shows?

What happened to "Tales of the Gun", "Wild West Tech", "Mail Call", and the other gun related shows.  All I've seen lately is evolution bull crap and stuff that is dryer than watching C-Span.  What has happened to all the good programming they use to show?  It wasn't perfect entertainment but it was much better than the junk they have on now.

I watch wild west tech and mail call during the day sometimes have never seen tales of the gun and occassionally see some others gun related shows but it is either later at nite or during the late morning or afternoon.

I still recall growing up in the 60's, the "American Sportsman" show with Curt Gowdy. Far superior programming than the monitored programs of today on hunting and fishing.

They have turned most of this type of programing over to the Military Channel, I think. 
I get the Military Channel on my Comcast package for now, and it has lots of firearms related shows. Some on small arms and some on big arms, like artillery and Missiles.

We should complain too.  I miss "Tales of the Gun" that was an awesome show!  Every once in a while Modern Marvels has some firearm related stuff, but those episodes are like rain drops in the desert - few and far between.     I also have the Military Channel, but all their firearm stuff is missing something.  Perhaps it's the host.

I turned the history channel on today and it had a thing on Civil War firearms and Civil War trains.  I enjoyed it.

Hopefully they just had to take a break to film more of the stuff we like to watch. I really liked the show ''Wild West Tech" with the Carradine brothers.   gypsyman
