Remington Wish List
« on: December 16, 2007, 03:08:50 AM »
What are you guys wishing for from Remington in 2008. I'd like to see more selection in 260 Remington (a great target and game cartridge) like bringing back some heavy barrel rifles in that caliber(VLS, VSF) Also a lightweight alloy receiver version of the 7600 and 7400

You named it for me. I also would like to see more 260's. Like the 260 SPS Varmint and the standard SPS. Dale

I wish that somehow Remington would get out of the Cerberus Capital Management Group asap, even though I believe there have been some positive moves under Cerberus.

and Marlin/H&R/NEF.  I know I'll be handwringing over all of these brands.  Remingtons are too expensive already.  Hope the Marlins and H&R/NEF doesn't go up much.  What I would like to see is Remington to bring back the Sportsman 78, a less expensive, back to its roots 700.  Now there's a good value; if you don't believe that, look at the prices of used ones.  Cerebrus had better watch their six, CZ is making fine rifles at reasonable prices, not to mention Howa, Vanguard.

I wished they would make the 700xcr in 22-250rem or a 243win. in a 24" or 26" barrel length. Be a harsh weather walking coyote gun. I really like my 270wsm in the 700xcr.
Nothing like a Remington model 700xcr
