Any 7mm BR shooters?
« on: October 31, 2007, 04:59:33 AM »
Looking to play with heavier bullets than the 120-130's I have used for hunting.

What powders do you feel will get max speed safely from 140 class?

Thanks.

6.5br, I shoot varget powder for all bullet weights, I use this gun for high power silhouette. I load the 130's for the c,p,t and the 168's for the rams, all sierra bullets. I also load varget with the 150 gr. SMK, I use lapua 6mm br brass necked to 7mm for all loads.

Use the Lapua in 6br and have a few I formed into 7, nice stuff, can you see a difference in accuracy between the 2?

Any chrono data on Varget loads?  Suggestions?  Thanks for any help.  Feel free to PM me if you would like with loads or post here if you choose.  Thanks.

I've shot a couple or more groups under .5 MOA at 200m with H4895 with a stock stabilizer and flags.  If you're interested in the load I can dig it up.  That was probably 130MKs but also shot really good groups with H4895 with 168MK.  For cast 140 and 168 I found H322 worked better.

Thanks for that info, used some 4895 also in past with great results.  Appreciate your post.
