I may try your recommendations about the more and different loads, empty cylinders, etc.
I forgot that I had tried one other load before.
Besides the 180 44 mags, and the 44 specials which hit about a foot low, I once also tried some pmc 240 44 mags, that I usually shoot out of my trapper.
The 240's actually tended to go the other direction and hit about a foot high. (slower getting out of the barrel as the gun rises?)
Recoil was a little stiffer. Not near as accurate either. (probably not something I would shoot much in the future)
Maybe I could find something halfway inbetween the 180's and the 240's :^)
If I someday slowly file the front down, do you simply flatten the top, round it similar to it is now, etc ?
After done, did you touchup blue?
