59 grs of RL22 behind either 140gr Gamekings or 139gr HornadaySST. Shoots 1/2" groups at 100yds.

What are you going to shoot with your .280?

I live in the West where shots across canyons and deserts ARE THE USUAL.

Don't overlook 150 and 160 grain bullets.  The 150's are more aerodynamic than 140's and the 160 work well on elk.

I hear great things about RL22, but don't overlook H4831 or H4831SC.  Plus Norma brass is available in .280R.

Hello
Best groups with Sierra 160gn Spitzer boat tail
My favourite hunting projectile for deer and goats is the remington core lock  140gn psp. Cheap, accurate, performs better than a lot of others on smaller game but still works well on large thick skinned animals.
And suprisingly the 115gn speer shot well on paper. Although i have not tried that one at long range.

I have pretty much settled on ADI 2209 and winchester primers. I often get 3 shots touching but then I stuff things up from there.

Good luck

Mike
