A local farm supply store has stainless/synthetic .22-250 handi rifles this week for $229.95. Is this a decent price? I assume I could have one of the new 2007 .44 Mag barrel fitted to this frame? It looks like the .44 mag barrels are available in blued only. It that correct? Thanks!

That's a darn good price, comparable to a standard Handi!! Yes and yes on the 44mag.

Well, I went to town and bought one! I'll pick it up Monday. What height scope rings do you recommend for a 3x9x40 scope. Low, Medium or High? I noticed the rifle comes with a hammer spur.

Congrats!! See the FAQs link "
Rings
", it will give you some ideas of what others use and whatcha gotta check, mediums may work, but not always, most end up using high rings to clear the hammer if they don't modifiy it.

good grab and a great rife, you will like it. Depending on the make of the rings and the make of the scope the mediums should work fine....<><....
