i have came across one in a trade deal. and just wondering how they were? any input? on them? im trading a bow i never use and was wondering how good these were.

They are good.I bought one back in the early part of the year.It shot really accurately.A friend of mine talked me out of it and subsequently it has killed two deer this year.

I've had one for a little over a year now.  It is the one with the heavy barrel.  With the Winchester 45 grain HP's it will keep them in a 4" circle at 250 yards.  I've loaded some of 50 grain V-max bullets and they shoot well too.  I believe it would shoot better if I had a better quality scope on it.  Currently it has a Wal-Mart special on it.  I've read some bad reports on the Rossi 243's and a few on the 308's but I haven't heard anything but good on the 223's.
