SxS Pistol
« on: March 02, 2008, 09:59:32 AM »
Hello,   Just bought this little pistol on line.   Could you folks answer a couple of questions for me?   Are the barrels damascus steel or is the spiral pattern a type of staining?   What would the possible dates of manufacture be for this little beatsie be?    Would I be off if I assume it was made in Belgium? Thanks

Cheers
Kevin

There is one listed on Gunbroker right now that is a spitting image of yours, except it has 6 1/2 inch barrels and engraved sides. It has the same twist design on the barrels, and he says it is circa 1850, marked F T, and has Belgium proof marks. Go to Gunbroker.com, Auction #93350794, and see if it looks the same as yours.
I rode with him,---------I got no complaints. ---------Cowpox
