« on: January 04, 2008, 03:41:57 PM »
I looked in FAQ but might have missed it. Im looking for a site that shows different stocks like synthetic camo.
Thanks

Well I did some more looking and found synthetic camo but its only on shotguns. Will shotgun stocks fit the rifles ?

See the 2007 Retail Parts price list page in the FAQs, the only synthetic camo stock is listed on that page, I have one on my 243 Superlight.

Sorry, forgot to answer your other question! ::) All stocks will fit all rifles and shotguns with the exception of the 10ga shotgun and 12ga slug gun forends/barrels which are bigger.

Here's the wood camo shotgun stock on my 30-30 Handi.

Thanks quickdtoo. The first pictured one is the one I like. It shows it on a Pardner Turkey shotgun in the 2008 catalog. I dont even have the gun I want yet and I might be getting ahead of myself. If I want that stock then do I contact H&R or some other company that makes them for them ?

Thanks just bill. I will probably call them Monday. Do I have any other options as far as synthetic camo ? Like maybe after market ?

Dont think so.

Myself I went through H&R, less costly, great service.

 Ooops  :P

Under the 2008 sticky catalog above they have the laminate thumbhole stocks now in laminate camo (not a painted camo).

Not sure if its a rifle or shot gun you have your sights on?

If its a rifle personally I would go with the laminate thumbhole camo.................no doubt.

BTW-  I have the other cammo stock also................on a 12 ga Pardner Turkey gun.................its nice for that............but I really like the laminate camo thumbhole for rifles   ;D

Laminate will add weight though  ;)

Thanks just bill. I was thinking about staying away from the laminated stocks because of fear that I would leave too much RemOil or other solvents on my metal parts and over time it would eventually soak in and  deteriorate the laminations. I like the concept of synthetic. My plan is to buy a .223 and install the camo like the one that comes on the Pardner Turkey shotgun and the one quickdtoo has pictured. I cant make up my mind just yet.
