Ammo for a 7mm-08 BLR
« on: January 22, 2008, 05:44:29 AM »
I've recently acquired a 7mm-08 BLR and was wondering what factory ammo works best in yours.  I know every gun shoots different with different ammo.  I don't reload and was just wanting to try and get a general starting point.  I am real curious what the performance might be with the Federal Accubonds, Federal Triple Shocks and the Winchester Supreme Ballistic Tips in 140 gr.

friend of mine is using the same rig in upstate NY for deer and black bear. He hasn't taken a bear yet but has taken several deer most under 100 yards but he did take one in a field at just over 200 yds. He uses Ramington 140 PSPCL

He chose to use the same 140 grain load as it is equal to the 150 grain pspcl in a 308 win. which he has taken bear with.

Mine likes Win 140gr Power points, silver box.
