Anyone know where I can find a square back triggerguard, or dragoon style, for the 1860 clone?

None of my usual sources list one.

Thanks

The 1860 Colt Army was not made with a squareback trigger guard, so it's unlikely anyone would make an aftermarket part like that.

Yeah, I know.

I was just hoping that the italians took poetic license with the 1860 as they do with the 1851.

There was never a 44 caliber 1851 but there sure are a bunch of replicas!

Maybe I will get the Dragoon guard and fit it to the frame.

I don't think there's any way you will fit a Dragoon guard to an 1860 frame, it's just plain LARGER...  Closest you might come is to saw off the square guard and braze it to the 1860 triggerguard., or cut open the 1860 guard, add brass and braze it in place, then reshape and refinish.

I know "different strokes for different folks" but I can't for the life of me understand why anyone would want a square back trigger guard on anything. My one venture with a 44 mag super blackhawk cured any desire I might have.
