I have both the Ruger and the Browning, I like the feel of the Browning better but the Ruger is more accurate. At least mine is.  KN

Don't know what you want to spend...but you can get a S&W Model 41 for ~$800.  Or you can go with a Ruger or a Browning anywhere between $200 and $500.

Find one that fits you well, strip it down at the gun store then chose one that fits in your budget.  I'm partial to the Rugers due to their heft...but I'd love to own a Model 41 someday.

Let us know what you end up with and how it shoots.

If you like semi-auto's, the sig trailside is a great model.  In revolvers, I am partial to the Smith & Wesson model 617.  it comes in 4", 6", and 8" barrel.  These barrels come in 6 or 10 shot cylinder.

I currently have 4 simi-autos in 22lr and hope to add a 5th soon.
I have the stainless Ruger which is ok had to do the typical work on to get a good trigger.  Next up is my Hi Standard Victor. Great gun out of the box. Also own Browning Gold Medalist.  more of an investment. and lastly I own a Colt 22 ACE which I really like.  I've got it set up like my IPSC guns as far a Grip Safety, Trigger, MainSpring housing. so I can practice with it at the indoor ranges and not have to reload.  The fifth one I'm shopping for is the S & W Model 41.  Just got to have one to round out my collection.  Might have to add another safe soon.
