whilst waiting on the duracoat to cure on my nef, i've undertaken to fix my friends old topper model 158, which has had the hammer spring broken for twenty odd years.there is no old spring in there to go by.no serial numbers i can find, but says aa-u.s.pat.2876576.there is no transfer bar-lifter mechanism.there is a roll pin thru the hammer about where the short leg of the hammer spring sits on the newer guns,but there is no little "button" to keep the leg from slipping off.will the regular spring work in this, or does it take one that wraps around behind the hammer? HELP!
