New guy with a few questions.

Hello everyone, I'm a new guy here and just got my first nef yesterday so now the questions start. How can I find out info on to which model I got.  bought it second hand and the guy did'nt know much about it other then it goes bang. Its a 223 with not really a bull barrel but the barrel looks a lot heavier then a normal style. The barrel also has pardner stamped on it. Does this mean I have a shotgun frame with a rifle barrel on it. The gun has a synthetic stock and about a 22" barrel. Will I be able to get other rifle barrels for it? the serial starts with NS. Forgot to mention I read the FAQ's and 101 as well. Sorry to ramble and thanks in advance.

Welcome! If you read the FAQs, you should have seen the year of manufacture info and what barrels can be fitted. Some Handis have Pardner on the barrels, just something they did when that one was made, follow the instructions in the FAQs or on the accessory barrel page for getting additional barrels. The standard controur barrel is on the heavy side, bull barrels will be ~.800" at the muzzle, standard contour ~.650., that info is in the FAQs too.

haha thanks Partsman, I cant wait to shoot mine, I've been wanting one of these rifles for a while and finally got my hands on one. I called h&r and they said I had an sbII and I could get any centerfire I wanted, I was worried when I saw the "Pardner" and thought I had the shotgun frame.
