Scope bases too close together, any help?

just bought a cva optima elite in 223 with 26 bull and the weaver bases i bought are to close together makeing  scope mounting hard any  help

Welcome to GBO! Get the Durasight base, DS102B black or DS102S silver, it's available by itself or with rings.

Any suggestion for open sites?? Standard CF barrel.

Here's one option if you're interested in an aperture sight, just need the barrel drilled and tapped for a front sight if it isn't already. The Williams WGRS peep is made for all round CVA barrels too.

On the bull barrel it says it's a straight contour. Does this mean the barrel is same diameter from breech to muzzle and a gunsmith could drill and tap a  longer rail on to it?

I just found out that some of the bases have to be oriented the correct way.   I just had to remount a base on my stalker barrel and the base looks the same both ways, but the screw holes don't line up if you turn it the wrong way.
