This summer.....
« on: December 21, 2002, 05:41:06 PM »
I was out in the sound camping and my Coleman multi-fuel stove failed. Only one year old and it bit the dust. Since then I have switched to propane and now have an always start stove and light. I spent several days and nights in the boat during a gale this fall and the light kept me warm all night.

But, does anyone have a better suggestion for a multi-fuel stove?
I would rather have the option of gas, fuel oil, alcohol or kero if I can. :(

:D Dave.I use the Dragonfly stove,I don't know if size is a factor for you like it is for me.The MRS Dragon fly is multi-fuel It burns just about anything liquit from diesle to paint cleaner. It has a shaker jet ,if you get a slug in the jet just shake it and it's clean. It burns hot and a bottle of fuel lasts a long time.I carry the fuel in one of the pockets made for water .For me size and weight is important on lond walkes and hunts.Down here its been dry out West so camp fires are not safe and are restricked in most ereas,so that little stove is just the ticket.Lp. :-)
Dont go were the path leads,go were there is no path and leave a trail.
