I still hunt with an old Winchester model 24 side by side 20 gauge which has only a 2.75" chamber. I have always used #6 lead with good results but I limit my shots to inside 25 yards. I have been reading about the new Hevi-Shot Classic Doubles loads which are made specifically for the soft steel of the older doubles. Has anyone got any patterning info on these? They seem very expensive.
