What sound for tonight?
« on: January 27, 2008, 10:17:03 AM »
Thinking about going out tonight.  I am in Western PA and hoping for some grey fox.  Should I use JS Grey Fox pup in distress or a distressed prey animal such as rodent, baby cottontail, woodpecker, etc.  A lot of people love the Fox pup but it is kind of late in the season, isn't it?  It has been extremely cold the last couple days and we are justr now getting about an inch of snow.

Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

pup in distress can work anytime, late, early, whenever. what calls are other guys using in your are?? maybe u might want to try something they havent heard yet. ive had luck with some oddball calls in northern pa for yotes and fox. one of my favorites is a tape (yes i said tape) a friend made for me with a housecat in distress. strangest sound ive ever used, but it works when i need something different. good luck.
