AFter some thought (a few minutes) I ordered a Thompson center 7m-08 barrel (24" blue) for my encore muzzleloader.Best price I could find was $220.00 out the door. Now to get the forarm, base, rings and scope. Ohh Boy . . .

Ed lists it for 209 + 7 shipping. Good choice in chambering.

I have the 7mm-08 and am wondering if it is one of the cals that are good shooter, or if it is one everyone stays away from due to accuracy?... I have been playing with the 223 on my Encore and havent tried the 7mm-08 yet...looks like a very good cal from what I see...I went from 06 to 280 Rem in other rifles and like the reduced recoil and good accuracy.....
anyway just wondering.....Rob

I wondered the same thing. But the only cal. I hear a lot of problems with is the 223. Yet there are an awful lot of guys that have had great luck with the 223 barrels. I guess I'll see when my 7m-08 comes in.
