Most Accurate Ammo in 10/22

What brand and type of ammo has been found to be most accurate in a stock Ruger 10/22? I want to use Williams Fire/reciever sights so the stock barrel is a given. I realize every rifle is different but I am hoping for some direction on what to try.

You pretty much have to get one box of everything in the store and try them all. I've seen some real nasty and cheap ammo provide better accuracy than the expensive stuff with some guns.

I sat down one day, w/ about 5-6 different boxes of various types.  The distance was 30 yds (from the window of the house to the tree at the back of the yard).  When it was all said and done - for my 10/22 - the CCI Mini-mags would put 3 shots into about a .30 ragged hole.  That's been my squirrel getter for years.

As said many times - go buy a box of various types and try them out.  If nothing else, it'll give you a chance to go shooting.

  Yep; try them all..there is a good chance you will settle upon CCI Mini-mags however..
