The blue is what I use on my four scoped 12ga slug guns. It has held up just fine so far and my sons don't have any complaints when they are hunting. The reason I use the blue is that if I want to remove the scope rings and base the small screws will be able to break free for removal. You should be able to use this loctite with no problems......
