In case no one has seen this I though I'd post it here.
Michigan Legislature Considers Opposing Anti-Bear Hunting Bill
The Michigan House of Representatives could soon show its support for sportsmen if it passes a measure that puts Michigan on record in opposition to a federal bill banning bear hunting.
Michigan House Resolution 82 (HR 82), sponsored by Democratic Rep. Dale Sheltrown, would ask the U.S. House of Representatives to oppose House Resolution 1472 (HR 1472), introduced in Congress on March 27, 2003. The bill would ban the use of bait to hunt black bears on federal land.
Be nice if the rest of the states were to follow along in this. While I don't like the use of baiting(it's illegal in Calif. anyway) I do not want to see this right taken away from hunters that do hunt this way. Everyone should let their representatives know how they feel. Lawdog
