New holster

I picked up a belt slide holster for a S&W Model 40 Centennial at a gun show last weekend made by Andrews Leather. They have a website, but you can't order from it - you have to call. I'm not an employee - never even saw the guy before, but it is a beautiful, extremely well made holster. Suede lined, molded perfectly, and has a screw adjustment for draw tension. There are two guys that make them all by hand. He also has a holster designed for sitting in a vehicle that snaps on and off the belt, or hooks on the seatbelt. I'm going to get one for my Glock 26. Gotta love a good piece of leather. I've paid a lot more for holsters in the past, and gotten a lot less. Just thought I'd pass along the good news. Now I can get back to trying to get this Handall grip on my Glock. Anybody got a crowbar?

Nothing like a good piece of leather! A good holster is, without a doubt the most comfortable way to carry for extended periods. Never have understood the "Handall" thing though. I stipple and modify the grips on my Glocks to remove the finger grooves and provide a good no slip grip. For off duty concealed carry, I find the best holster is none at all! I find the belt clips work well for me on my Glock 36, as well as my Officer's size 1911 and Kel- Tec P-11/P-32. I appreciate good leather but find myself going to the "Accumold" and "Kydex" in duty rigs, lighter and more comfortable. Course that's just me, I'm old and lazy and like my comfort!

I agree with savage.  I prefer leather over just about anything that is out there for stuffing a handgun into.  Mostof the time I am not using a holster at all, just the guns stuffed inside the belt as per usual.  The sad thing is,is that I make custom holsters and I hardly every use one for my main carry gun.  Stay safe.........................King
