Sharing the excitement!
« on: January 25, 2008, 11:24:26 PM »
I got my daughter (10 year old) involved in a NRA junior marksmanship program. She's asked me several times since that first trip to the range, "Dad when can we go back again, that was fun!"
I've decided to switch out my 10/22 with a green mountain 18" fluted barrel with fire sights and a ruger factory youth stock. Also got some internal parts to smooth up the trigger pull and action.

Once I get this up and running, it should make a great squirrel/target rifle and present for her....

Good for you and for your daughter.

There is no better value to a child than to be included in activities with their parents.  Not only will both of you have a wonderful time sharing a great hobby, more importantly, the more time you spend together, the more positive influence you will have in her life.

Good on ya!   ;)
