I have read the bragging on how great marlins are and how they would shoot minute of angle and group well with lead now I have a window of opertunity to play with one.  It went down like this typical show, saw lots I wanted nothing I could afford, but the second table in had a nice marlin 30-30 for 280.    We talked I looked and left 250 lighter and a really nice 3030 in richer.  The buddy I bought it for tells me I am a little light on the yen and can't pay up for a while.  Long story short I get to play with it  a little while, maybe long time.  So I have a lyman 180 grain round nose gas check bullet mold what powder charge and type of powder have you marlin folks had the best luck with as far as accuracy.  My Winchester hated unique and that bullet, sr 4756 was poor so what works good with lead and a marlin.  Any insight would be appreciated. After looking the win and marlin over side by each the marline does grow on you.   SN
