Baja
« on: January 29, 2008, 12:47:05 PM »
I recently saw a Baja at a local farm & home store. Does anyone know anything about them. They are made in China. The clerk at the store told me they are a copy of a Honda and that Honda parts would work on them.

They're made in Mexico and no honda parts do not fit on them. I think for repair maybe take them to a lawnmower shop. PEP BOYS and farm stores sell go-karts and mini bikes and maybe kids atvs.

They say made in China on them so I assume they are made in China not Mexico. Not that it makes a whole lot of difference. I went ahead and bought it. It sounds good and runs fine. I'll let everyone know how it works out as soon as the weather warms enough to go riding in comfort.

They must be making them in 2 places because I saw them at a Tractor Supply Store in MN and they said Mexico on them the mini bike. They had tecumseh engines.

Maybe I need to specify what I'm describing. It is an ATV (4-wheeler) 250cc, two wheel drive, camo color. I don't know anything about the mini bikes & go carts. I can't find anything on the engine that says who made it or where. I just figured it was all made in China (maybe not). I didn't intend to argue over where it was made, I was just wanting to know if anyone has had any dealings with this product so as to find out about their durability. I bought it so I guess I'll find out the old fashion way.

I bought a Twister Hammerhead 150 made by TJ Powersports.  It's a chinese made mini dune buggy, and uses the GY6 150cc honda clone engine.  Huge piece of junk to say the least.  Don't waste your time and money on anything made in china.  Just my opinion, but I regret my choice in a big way.  It's a blast when it runs, but breaks almost every time I use it.
