The guy that owns the tire shop where I buy all my tires just told me that I could have all his old wheel weights for free.  I asked him what he did with his old ones and he wanted to know why I asked.  I told him that I would buy them and he said he would give them to me.  Just bring down a bucket and he would have his guys throw them in and I could pick them up.  He had the guys load up what he had and there was well over 100 pounds in the bucket.  I think that I just hit the jackpot!!

Great deal, I'm still using ww's that my son scored the same way 3 years ago at a tire shop.  We made 4 trips and had over 300 lbs of lead.  Tire shops have to pay a hasmat fee to have lead picked up, usually by the lb or load.  Of course with the spike in lead prices; a lot of big shops are sending their employees with the lead, to the salvagers.  No hasmat fee and actually an income for recycling.  Get it while you can.
