Dan Wesson 744 Pistol Pack
« on: January 28, 2008, 08:24:57 AM »
Good Afternoon Everyone,

I went to the local gun show this weekend looking for a good deal on a new toy.  I did come across a couple of Model 15's but neither was in very good shape plus I already have 2 so didn't really need another.

I started talking to a dealer that I see at all the shows and turns out he's located near me and I never knew it.  He only deals in used guns which is a plus for me since there's not many new guns that interest me.

I ask him if he had any DW's and he said he had a few DW 15's and a Stainless 44 with the 10", 8" and 6" barrels.  I got very excited and turns out all the barrels have been magnaported.  However I'm not sure if it was done at the factory or not.

Here is a picture:

The gun is in nice shape but has a few handling marks.  Got it for $695.  Does that sound inline?  It has the tool, gauge and instruction manual as well.

Jody

The instruction manual alone has gone for up to $20 on Ebay.  With the Magna-Ported barrels; be sure to clean and lightly oil the barrel threads asap after shooting, as these get blowby and will seize if left for a period of time after shooting.  It looks like a great setup; enjoy...
