Here are my 3 latest acquisitions. I’ve found I’m more interested in properly converted military sporters, then the guns in their original form. There’s quite a variety out there and I can often find them cheap. (Working in a gun store helps)
Top; a custom 1903 Springfield in .358 Norma Magnum. Ok this one wasn’t cheap, but I’ve wanted this caliber and action combination for a real long time. Very accurate, but a little hard on the shoulder.
Middle; a BSA converted Pattern 14 in .303 British. This is one of the nicer ones I’ve seen, and I got for a song.
Bottom; a Norwegian 1903 Krag-Jorgensen in 6.5x54 Mannlicher Schoenauer. Again this one was dirt cheap too. This conversion was fairly common here in Canada, along with ones done up in .243 and .308, but I shy away from those ones, that’s pushing the limits if the action I think.
