New Ultra 243

 ;D Well I made my mind on hunting big game and about all I figure I can still do is goats. So I picked up a new Ultra in 243, put a Pentax Gameseeker 4-12x40 on top and got it to the range. After sight in I was able to get 1 to 1 1/2 inch groups with 100gr Core-lokts.  I'll try different ammo in the future and see if it will get a little better. Just not ready to give up yet. If I think I can hunt elk again I'll get an Ultra in 308 or maybe a Handi in 270 or 280Rem with a good 3-9x40. How has your Ultra shot? Like mine so far. Jess ;)

Neat Jess, Sorry to hear about the big game. If you get back in it for elk, IMHO I would take up the .308. Love that round. Also, keep us informed on the different ammo and how the accuracy thing goes. I have the .243 and am certainly interested.
