Hunting load for 45 LC

Planning to use the contender with a 10" 45 LC as a secondary option for deer this year...currently I'm in the process of getting my reloading stuff set up so I can play with different loads but was wondering if anyone had a good hunting load for a 45 LC?

My favorite is a Hornday 240XTP ahead of 16.5 grains of BlueDot for about 1250 fps in a 10" T/C. Plenty of power and the 240 penetrates very well with relativley low recoil.  I also like the 250 XTP over 20.5 grains of AA-9 for around 1350 fps.  The latter seems no more effective and gives noticeablly more recoil.
