recoil pad choices

I`m wanting a recoil pad for my Marlin 336 - 35 Rem.    Which are the best ones out there and can I get one that wont take away from the tradition looks of my rifle.

I was in the same boat with a win 95 in 405. I was working up loads and shooting off a bench which was fairly miserable. I put a slip on Limbsaver pad. It really helped and added about an inch to the length of pull which turned out to be better too.

A few years back I put a Butler slip on pad on my 336 in 30-30 for the grandkids.  Works great.  The limbsaver is a great option.

The Limbsaver grind-to-fit is a great product.  Does not detract from firearm looks at all.  Have one on my 336 30-30.

I tried the Limbsaver pre-fit pad that is supposed to fit a Marlin 444 stock.  It is close but not exact enough for me.  I sent the new pad along with the buttstock to Limbsaver and had them put a grind-to-fit pad on for me.  Wow what a difference.  Not a scratch on the stock either.  Beautiful workmanship.  Fast turnaround time.  I have Limbsavers on all my big boomers.

What was the Cost to send the Stock to Limb Saver to have a recoil pad put on,.. as well the turnaround time?

limb savers are the best pad out there for recoil reduction. Hands down!!

Turnaround from east to west coast was about three weeks.  Two weeks of that was UPS time.  There is a new style of pad with anti-muzzle jump technology and you might be lucky enough to have a large enough buttstock to get one of those installed.  Something about the pad size vs. the technology they can offer.  IIRC the cost was about $100.  Pads are about $35 to $40 retail in the store.
