Handi in 45/70 value??
« on: February 18, 2008, 01:46:02 PM »
I went to my local gun shop today and found a Handi in 45/70.  The rifle is in great shape, no nicks or dings in the wood and no pits or wear marks on the barrel or frame. The rifle includes both the iron sights and a scope mount.  The gun is on consignment and the price is listed at a non-negotiable price of $200.00.  Is this a good deal or do I keep looking for another Handi in 45/70??

If it's in like new condition, that's not a bad price, you'll pay another $20-$40 for a new one, but one thing to consider is if you intend to get other barrels fitted, any of the * marked accessory barrels can only be fitted to late model frames made 1999 or later, and no barrels can be fitted if it was made before 1987, see the FAQs for build years.  ;)
