Winchester loads the same 300 grain bullet in their 454 factory load. You may want to check with them to see if they sell the bullet as a component. It is one tough bullet. If you can not get the Winchester bullet the 300 grain Sierra is a tough bullet designed for the 454. It has a hard core and thick jacket.

FWIW ~ Sierra recommends FA bullets for <300grs and limits/cautions their own 300gr to 1550FPS. Called their tech line and asked if there were any plans on the making tuffer bullets for the growning intense magnum family. The response is not yet but keeping an eye on it. They were aware that FA had sold their bullet making equipment ~ wonder who bought it and what their plans are?

It is true that Sierra keeps the velocity down to 1550 or less with their 300 grain bullet. I run the 300 grain Sierra in both my 45 Colt Blackhawk and my 454 Super Redhawk. Their top end loads in the Colt are pretty pleasant but even at 1550 their top end loads in the 454 are still only 100 fps less than the factory Winchester load. I much prefer to drop back a little. Sierra designed their 300 grain bullet for the 454 with a thick jacket and hard core. They are tough bullets for sure. Their lighter weight bullets in 45 are not built to withstand full power loads in the 454 but can be down loaded. Pretty close to the mid power JHP load Winchester puts out.
