Fore arm mounting screw hole??
« on: February 16, 2008, 12:06:16 PM »
Recently purchased a handi in 243 with a plain looking, buff colored,  laminated stock.  Where the fore end screw mounts there is a big hole that the screw seats against.  Is there supposed to be a spacer in this hole?  Haven't shot it yet to determine accuracy, function, etc.
Thanks for any info.  Ha

No, there is no spacer supplied by NEF.

No, the screw snugs right up against the tapered hole in the wood of the forearm....<><....:)

Not always true, some of the older Handi rifles had a steel sleeve in the forearm (before they went cheap) , so you may have one of these that the sleeve has fallen  out of.  Larry
