IMHO colloquialism's and a few misspellings don't bother me. The messages that do bother me is the ones that I have to figure out the words and then reread the message for content. Sorry, I just don't have the time, so they can spell anyway they want, and I will continue to skip their messages.

The sportsman lives his life vicariously. For he secretly yearns to have lived before, in a simpler time. A time when his love for the land, water, fish and wildlife would be more than just part of his life. It would be his state of mind

A colloquialism is a way of saying something or a word from a specific part of the country. He is saying, and I agree, that a little "flavor" in your writing is kind of nice, and lends a bit of "homey" feel to posts. "Y'all," "Down cellar," etc...are examples of colloquialisms.

I kinda agree with what Elmer said but equally as bad is the fellow that types in one continuous block with no punctuation or capitalization or separation. One big fat run-on sentence.  Too often, they aren't worth the effort to decipher.

I know I ain't perfect, but I'm gonna try some harder. :D
