I have used a Browning rifled tube in my H&R turkey special and a red dot with standard Winchester slugs. The accuracy at 50 yards amazed me. Shots were basically touching. I used a bullseye target and just centered the dot within the bull. However, I have not shot a deer with them yet. I set up the rig in hopes of going to a shotgun only hunt, but had to cancel the trip.

I don't know if Browning still makes the rifled tube, but it seems to be worth trying.
