Bounty on Pigs
« on: March 01, 2008, 08:19:09 AM »
Just saw where at Ft. Benning they've pay a $40 bounty for each pig tail brought in.  Only active duty, retired military and civilian base workers are allowed.  See link  http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,333850,00.html

That's nearly enough to pay the Processor for cutting up the meat - so I wouldn't have to myself and I could continue hunting!  I would definitely get in on that if I was eligible.  I would donate a lot of meat too.

Castaway - hey, that is good news.  I know Fort Benning, once served there before going overseas.  I knew htey used to have hogs running around there and later on heard from a buddy that they had become a bit of a problem.

Now, I am long since discharged but my brother is an active duty Air Force Chaplin who loves huntin' hoggies as much as I do.  And I have a buddy who would love to try hog huntin'.

Hmmmm, I wonder if we could get in on this??????????????  Mikey.

I've been wondering too.  I'm retired Army and meet the criteria but it's 7 hours or more away.
