Hats off to John McCain effort to close gun-show loophole

WASHINGTON -- Gun-control advocates have a powerful new voice in the Senate who is seeking to close a loophole that allows weapons to be sold at gun shows without background checks.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., who cited cases in which suspected terrorists were caught with weapons bought at U.S. gun shows, says he will try to "force Senate consideration" early next year of the measure. Former President Clinton tried but failed to curb such sales. Hats off to the senator if he succeeds.

And following passage of that bill some one will knock on your door and ask for your guns.  To close the loop at a gun show would eventually lead to stopping the private sale of firearms altogether.  If John is truly worried about terrorist then close the borders, start rounding up those here illegally and send them home.

The hard cold facts are, we have some Americans that are not far removed from being a terrorist, or threat to society. that factor can never be totally corrected, but it is within our power to eliminate a lot of the threat of terrorist activity by removing those most likely, illegal,  or legal aliens.  Taking away the sale of privately owned guns at guns show will stop nothing, the terrorist can still pickup a newspaper in most any state and find guns for sale from an individual with no background check.

The sales at gun shows are mostly done by FFL holders, and they have to do the back ground check.  The ones not involving FFL holders are private individual sales, like you selling a gun to me.  Those are the ones that they are trying to close.  If they are successful then that means that you can not sell a gun to the neighbor down the street, or you cannot but that gun from your uncle that no longer has a use for it.  It also means that when your father gets Alzheimer's and your Mom wants the guns out of the house you can not take them, that would be an unlawful transfer of possession.

And some think this would be a good law?  I don't think so.  Unfortunately there is not a pro second amendment person left running since Fred Thompson dropped out.   He was our only real hope for a gun friendly President.

What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

He effectively helped  shut down our gun shows here in Oregon.
The whole purpose of gun shows , were for individuals to meet and swap and sell guns and ammo.
You could find bargains then. Now, all you find are dealers selling you the same high priced guns they sell in their shops, and doing the unconstitutional background checks.

Looks like HE will be elected, and YOU will see the private sales of firearms in America made illegal during HIS term.
And the sad part is........He will be elected by the gun owners of America. It is amazing how many in our ranks are (SHEEPLE)

Do you honestly think or believe that Obama or Hitlery would not do the same and worse?

Well Hell yes they would do the same!.........That is why I will write in Ron Paul! It makes no diff. which of the three win, and win one of the devil's will, and when they do, they will work as hard as they can to take your gun. They all have records of gun grabbers,  open border supporters, abortion advocates , and of the new world order ilk.

I work in a Class 7 manufacturer / gun shop that mainly caters to the AR15 and we are selling strong due to the fear of what may come in Nov.
I believe that come Nov. we will be lucky to keep up with sale.
