Thinking of unloading my Contenders

I have been thinking for some time now to sale-off all my Contender stuff.Just not sure the hardest to let go of is the 444 and 22Jet.I just don't know.If I do I'll get another Encore...Hmmmmmm.

Well you should unload them silly, before you clean them or work on them etc.  But seriously I would not if I was you.  But if you must, send me a list of available items for my purchasing pleasure.

sounds good to me, I'd love to have a 22 jet. and if ya decided ya made a mistake you know they'd be real easy to replace. GET REAL!!! what kind of drugs you on????

Well PJ, let me know if you want to unload that .444 Marlin.  

You got me thinking about getting one, and I am considering that or an Encore with a .35 Whelen barrel.  I have smaller hands and the Contender fits me fine and I don't know how the Encore would do.  But I really like the Whelen with a 260 grain gas check bullet.

careful! that 300mag may have your brain jiggled loose :) . be sure it's what you really want to do. they are easy to send packing, but hard to replace. the dumbest thing i ever did, was get rid of a 6x47 bullberry contender several years ago. :cry: i've regreted it ever since. :roll:

I think PJ is just suffering from a case of Encore Pistol Magnumitus.  I probably shouldn't encourage him, but a friend & I would like to see him get a 375 H&H barrel and cut it to 16 1/4.  PJ does such a good job of providing information when field testing, that the 375 H&H would make a great next project....... I have to agree with the others.  Very easy to get rid of, but a pain to replace.  I have heard of other people doing the same thing, and regretting it.  Maybe just stripping down to your favourite few is better.

tonight go out in the woods find a very large blackberry patch
strip off all of your clothes and run through it. :-D
