Very nice!  Those are some big critters.

I've been getting the itch to get out after some of them myself.  Today's ice, sleet, snow and rain sure dampened the spirits after 70 degrees this past Monday.  ::)

Oh well, it won't be long.   ;)

I remember a few of those pics last spring...nice. I hope to get my Hornet to shoot as well. I noticed that is some of the pictures your Hornet had the pallet wood stocks and then some had cinnamon lams. Is that the same rifle or do you have two different ones? Also noticed the barrel is heavier than mine; standard weight? I have a SL. One more...I saw the bi-pod I assume that it shoots well off of it. I also plan on shooting mine off of a bi-pod. I have to stalk along fence rows and woods edges to find my opportunities so I wanted a light weight gun that could do the job out to 150 yards or so and shoot it off of a bi-pod because they are light weight and portable. I have plenty of other guns, but they get heavy after walking 2 hours of so. Man, I can't wait for those 'hogs to start popping up this spring. :D

Nice shootin'. Looks like you had some good hunting.

I think the Hornet is an ideal round for ground hogs up to about 100 yards. Beyond that range I'll use my Fireball out to 200 yards.

Awesome. Wish we had them out here. You can only shoot so many ground squirrels before you wish you had something else to shoot.

thanks guys, laotto222 Im pretty sure mine is the standard contour barrel hornet, It might just look bigger without the iron sights.  Its the same gun in all the pictures, I sold those pallet wood ones to d-hiker and bought the cin lams from handi243 sometime last spring. Both my 223 and my hornet shoot great from the bipods, I notice no major changes is group size weather I shoot from the forearm Hinge or bipod.
