222 showing promise
« on: February 24, 2008, 09:05:32 AM »
Hope this picture shows up. I pulled the 4 th.shot but you can see that it has promise. It was new unfired brass, and the 52 gr.match bullet.Measured .357" with the 4 shots.I thought it was fairly good for a breakover rifle with very few rds.through it.Considering that it was a old man that had forgot to take his BP medicene that morning, and had drank a whole pot of coffee,it was'nt all that bad shooting. ;D ;D ;D ;D

I'm hopeing that the oncefired brass will help it some, and I forgot to add that it stepped off 110 yds.It looks like it may shoot as good as my 721 Rem. that was made in the 60's. But I'm very happy with it for now.
