Welcome aboard! If that's with the buckhorn, you need a taller front sight, or shoot heavier bullets!!  ;D

If it's with the slider, you need to shoot 200yds with it in the bottom position I think.

The sights are measured from the bottom of the dovetail base to the center of the globe.

just put the front blade at the botom of the bull then you will be dead on, as tim said if you are using the slider the very botom is 200 yards .

Williams makes a .250 dovetail raised base.  It would be better to get the correct height globe but the raised base is cheap...

shootin high with the buckhorn just lowering the front of the muzzle so can barely see front sight at the bottom of the buckhorn.I see brownells has a 17a .824 high.Might have to try it if  I can drift the other one out, sounds like they come out hard

badass58: I knock out the front sight just the other night off the target model
I have to say with a brass punch and padded vise I had to get a larger hammer but it did drift out from left to right
I replaced it with a .404 fiber optic front red sight
