Can I safely use load data for a jacketed bullet for a cast?
« on: March 31, 2008, 03:25:56 AM »
I'm trying to find a load for my Marlin 45-70.  I am currently getting ready to load up some 405gr cast with gas checks.  I don't have any load data for these rounds and was wondering if I could use the load data for a 400gr jacketed bullet.

I don't know if being cast w/check makes a difference than a jacketed bullet.  I just want to be safe about this and I apologize ahead of time if this is a stupid question.
