I need a holster for my new Ruger SBH Hunter with a 2x burris scope.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

For my SRH with scope I bought a bandolier style from Midway Shooters Supplies. It is comfortable.

I'd suggest a shoulder-rig of some sort...

I used to carry a scoped SBH on a low-slung "gunfighter" style rig. It was like trying to walk with a bowling ball strapped to your leg.

Rigs that put the weight on your shoulders are much more comfortable.

I agree that weight distribution on the shoulder(s) is wisest... just be sure you rig it to not fall forward when you lean forward... some designs allow that and you have to be aware or take counter measures.
I find that the shoulder holsters, crossdraw add to the barrel length that can easily be holstered and carried sitting standing, etc, and stays out of the way of the rifle I sometimes carry with it, and further moves through the brush and through door ways better since I am more aware of where my chest is than where four inches hangs off my hip when it is truly off to the side it tends to get hung on things easier than the shoulder holster rigs allow.
just my observation..

I actually have two holsters for my SBH with 2X Leupold. My pistol is a standard SBH with scope mounted to the top strap. I have an Uncle Mike's Shoulder style in camo , and an Uncle Mikes camo bandolier, with flap. I usually end up carrying the shoulder holster, because I always have my Leupold binoculars with the Bino Buddy double shoulder strap around my shoulders. This combo works without banging together. If I were doing serious traveling and the binos were not a necessity, I would opt for the bandolier.

I usually hunt from a tree stand, and often carry a shoulder weapon as well. The bandolier provides more protection for the gun. When I carry the shoulder rig, I always keep and Uncle Mike's scope cover on the rear, for lint, dust, and perspiration.

Thanks,

Here's my style of revolver if they interest you. This particular one is built for for a S&W .500, but the general design would be the same, unless you request it be built some other way.
