New Rifle

Finally got my new Handi in 204 today. I thought it would come with the side hammer extension but nooo! Aparently thats an owner installed thing only. Where do you guys get these? I've read the sticky on how to do this and think its going to be an unexpected pain. Anyhow the gun looks good otherwise. Dave

If you live in the U.S.A you can order one by phone from NEF. Contact info is in the FAQs. They are easy to install.

Congrats on the new gun. If you got it new it should be in the box. If its not call them and they will probably give you one. Just let them know it wasn't there. ;)

It may be stuck to the box in a sticky backed plastic envelope, but as Cowboy said, give em a call on their toll free line and have send ya one if it isn't, it's supposed to be included with the scope rail.  ;)

Thanks for the replies. The scope rail was installed on the gun. The hammer extension simply isn't there. So I guess I'll have to give them a call. Thanks. Dave

I went through the box again and read the accessories pamphlet. The offset hammer spur is listed in there as a $9.25 accessory. I suppose I'll have to order one. Thanks again

I got a new .204 Handi two weeks ago and it didn't come with the hammer extension either.

The website and the catalog both state that the hammer extension comes with the rifle as it always has on any rifle with a scope rail, so give em a call and have em send you the extension.

Kurt is correct, give them a call on their toll free number and they will send you one for no charge, it should be in the box in a small white and clear plastic envelope which is supposed to be stuck to the inside of the carton. Customer Service at H&R is top notch, just be polite, it is not their fault the hammer extension was not in the box. I am sure they will take good care of you, and welcome aboard....<><....:)

just shoot em an e-mail , they will fix you up . you pretty much have to have the extension if you use a scope . they will respond quickly !
