Need light 44 mag load for 88 yoa

My grandfather is 88 yoa and still an active shooter. He just picked up a Taurus 1911 this weekend, because he was wearing out his WW2 1911.  Anyway he has a 7.5 44 mag redhawk.  I picked up 100, 200 grain, copper plated, flat points for him.  The only powder I have is H110 and I figure thats not a good powder to down load with.  Can anyone suggest a light load.  I am very new to reloading and only have a few Lee powder cups.  I received a very old, but new little scale, but don't know if is accurate.  I seen on huntingnet.com a discussion of Trail Boss for cowbow, lead bullets with 6.0 to 6.5 grains.  Thanks.

Trailboss would be a good choice along with Clays and Unique , all 3 will give you a fine plunking load with min. recoil . Of the 3 , Clays will probably be the cleanest of the so-called Dirty powders while Trailboss will give you the best case fill ( less chance of not seeing a double charge )

7.5 grains of Unique under a 240 - 250 grain cast bullet has been a standard for me for a long time, very pleasant to shoot and accurate.

4 to 6 gns. of Bullseye would work well. Very low powder cost with it. 6 gns. behind a 240 gn. bullet has been my plinking load for years. That is 950 fps. from a Super Black Hawk which still is a hard hitter, but recoil isn`t real bad.

im not a big fan of trail boss but it would be ideal for what you want. Id say that 5 or 6 grains of it and a 200 would be the ticket.
